POLICE OFFICER KILLED BY TRAIN IN MADRID

An officer from the Spanish National Police was killed on Friday, after apparently being pushed in front of a train at Madrid´s Atocha station.

The incident is said to have occurred when the officer identified a man on the station who then took pushed him into the path of a train where the officer suffered serious head injuries.

The fire and ambulance service were involved in freeing the officer before being taken to hospital.

In an unrelated incident, another man also fell into the path of a train at the station on the same day.
