A 20 year old man, whose identity has not been released, is said to have been killed on Monday evening, when acting as one of the Three Kings in the Almería town of Nijar.
Officials say that the float that King Balthazar was riding on hit overhead cables on the parade route, and overturned under the pressure of the collision.
The man was confirmed to have died from his injuries in hospital on Tuesday, the day of the Three Kings holiday.
This is yet another tragic end to the annual parade, after security was stepped up following the death of a 6 year old boy, who died after being hit by a float in Málaga´s Three Kings parade in January, 2013.
