Team Malaga Practice for the Match Against the Spanish Squad – 31st January & 1st February, 2015,

Ten men & ten ladies representing the Spanish National squad, from mainly Alicante and Almeria provinces, will make the trek to Miraflores bowls club to play a match against the Malaga provincial team, under the auspices of the Spanish & Andalucian Bowling Federations.

The visitors will be out to reverse the result of the last visit to Malaga province, in 2013, when the home team beat the visitors in both the men’s & ladies categories.

In order to improve team cohesion & make the final selection, a practice session was staged at the match venue, Miraflores BC, on the 13th January. In the morning various mixed matches took place, followed in the afternoon by a needle match between the Men’s & Ladies teams.

The result certainly surprised Men’s Captain, Brian Todd, as the Ladies team, lead by Margaret Kain, comfortably beat the Men’s, looked on by Team Manager, John Carr.

I am sure many bowlers will want to witness this clash between some of the top bowlers in Spain, in which case Craig & Sandra Lewis will be very happy to look after you at Miraflores BC, on Jan. 31st & Feb. 1st, from 10:30 am onwards with a full catering service.
