Nine people have lost their lives, four of them motorcyclists, and three people were injured in seven road accidents on Spanish roads this weekend, between 15:00 on Friday and 20:00 on Sunday, according to the provisional data from the DGT.
Saturday was the most fatal day with six deaths in four incidents, including three young people who were killed when their vehicle collided head on with another on the A-1411 rural road in Maella, Zaragoza. Three other young people were injured in this incident.
A 32 year old motorcyclist who worked as a television cameraman was also killed on Saturday when his motorcycle collided with a truck, under which he then became trapped, on the M-505 road in Galapagar.
Another motorcyclist was also killed on Saturday after colliding with a vehicle on the LE-5419 road in Carrizo de la Ribera, León.
Finally, on Saturday, a 25 year old driver was killed in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura, when the vehicle he was driving collided with a lamppost.
On Friday there were two fatalities in as many incidents, one a motorcyclist who collided with a car on the C-32 as it passes through the town of Castelldefels, Barcelona. The second crash was on the TF-21 road at La Orotava in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Finally, on Sunday, a motorcyclist died when he collided with a car on the N-260 road at Puigcerdà, Girona.
