Officers from the National Police successfully located and retrieved a suitcase that had been left in error at Alicante-Elche airport by a German passenger.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the tourist alerted the police to the fact that the suitcase had been misplaced outside the terminal building.
The police organized a search and located the suitcase which was resting on a bench outside the second floor of the airport building.
What is particularly significant in this particular lucky find is that the case contained 8,000 euro in cash and a laptop computer.
The suitcase was successfully delivered to the relieved owner which, according to the police, had been “carelessly forgotten” by the owner.
