Cheesy Thief

The prosecutor of the courts in Logroño is asking for an 18 month prison sentence to be imposed on an individual who committed armed robbery of a Mercadona supermarket in the town.

The incident occurred in January when the man was found to have concealed five cheeses worth 20 euro about his person and attempted to leave the store without paying.

Having been stopped by employees, the man was surprised and threw three of the cheeses at employees.

He then fled the store and was later stopped by the police carrying the remaining two cheeses.
