SPANISH MINEX 2015 OFF LOCAL COAST

Six European countries are taking part in a mine countermeasures exercise Spanish Minex 2015.
The exercise, which got underway on 18th May will last until today, Monday 28th.

A total of nine vessels, four aircraft and about 500 sailors are taking part in these operations off the coast in the stetch of water from Guardamar to La Manga.

Spanish Minex, organized annually by the Spanish Navy, has the aim to implement common procedures for the defense of ports and anchorages against naval mines.

Spain, Germany, France, Turkey, Italy and Portugal are the participants.
