The Spanish Nationals are reaching their conclusion & leagues will start again next week. More names are needed on the sheets for the Premier 20 league & for the Greenlands friendlies. There are still no names of the sheet for the Social Committee, so come on do your part.

Quesada has been treated to some amazing bowling and our own entrants have done us proud. Pete Bonsor took the Mens Singles title with Jason Prokopowycz in 2nd place. Jason teamed up with Derek Sale to become Pairs Champions.

John Muldoon, Bill Pain & Pete Bonsor were 2nd in the Mens Triples & together with William Holtham they became Rinks Champions. In the Ladies events Mel Highland & Jacqui Johnston just beat fellow club mates Peta Rhodes & Lisa Bonsor in the Ladies Pairs. In the triples Peta Rhodes Jacqui Johnston & Lisa Bonsor took the title.

Marianne Holtham joined the 3 to take the Rinks title over fellow Quesada ladies Norma Lamberton, Eve Blythe, Carol Broomfield & Diane Riley. In all 6 of the 8 titles went to Quesada players plus 4 of the losing finalists.

On a personal note I would like to thank Margaret Smith, Joe & Diane Riley for setting up the green in the morning & for clearing away in the evening. Thanks also go to the members who volunteered to mark the singles matches and we were able to provide markers for every singles match up to & including the semi-finals without the need for losing players to mark.

George Radmore, George Carnell, Joe Riley, Diane Riley, Mark France, Peter Bradbury, Peter Farrell, Margaret Smith, Colin Highland, Jack Martin, Deidre Leeming, Veronica Sale & not forgetting Sheila Cox from Vistabella who also helped out. The 13 managed to mark a total of 58 matches – no mean achievement.
