Investigation Launched into Mine Incidents
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding an incident at a mine in Huelva on Monday, in which a subcontractor was seriously injured.
The incident occurred at around noon in the Mina de Aguas Teñidas in the Almonaster La Real area of Huelva, when the worker who was involved in a cement delivery was hit by a truck.
The injured worker was taken by helicopter to hospital in a serious condition.
Meanwhile, another incident occurred on the same day in a mine in Riotinto, also in Huelva, when another worker plunged down a mine shaft and was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
