School Tender Announced

The provincial education ministry has this week confirmed the tender for the contract for the construction of the Playas de Orihuela school. At a cost of 6.6 million euro, higher than the original quote, companies have until the end of June to submit their bids.

Once awarded, the work will have a lead time of 18 months and will therefore not be ready until at least the 2017 to 2018 school year, but once complete it will end what will be a 15 year long period of education in temporary portacabins.
