Trucks Destroyed in Pilar Crash
Two trucks were destroyed by fire in Pilar de la Horadada on Wednesday after a crash on the CV-941 road between Mil Palmeras and San Miguel.
The driver of the first truck, which was carrying plastics and cardboard, noticed that his vehicle was on fire and immediately stopped by the side of the road whilst trying to quell the flames with a fire extinguisher.
The vehicle, which was stopped on a slope, began to roll backwards and collided with the second truck which was carrying stones. The flames then spread to that second vehicle.
The local police and Guardia Civil accompanied fire fighters at the scene who managed to control the blaze, but not before both vehicles were destroyed.
