EVA BOWS OUT AT ROLAND GARROS

For the first time in their history, Torrevieja Tennis Club, had a representative at the French Open last week, playing in the Junior Girls Competition on the world famous tennis courts at Roland Garros.

Eva Guerrero, at just 15 years of age, a member of the academy Equelite Villena Juan Carlos Ferrero, received an invitation following her victory in the Grade 1 ITF tournament, which catapulted her to number 52 in the world junior rankings and saw her achieve the pass to junior main draw in the Paris Grand Slam.

Unfortunately, however, Eva fell at the first hurdle, going out in Round One to Canadian Katherine Sebov 7-6, 6-3. But what an experience for the 15 year old Torrevejense.
