Sea Bed Rescuers Being Trained
Ten volunteers from Orihuela´s Protección Civil are attending a diving course which will allow them to gain the necessary qualifications to assist in sea rescues off the Orihuela Costa, and will also mean that they will be allowed to work cleaning parts of the sea bed.
The current councillor for the environment of Orihuela, Manuel Gallud, is calling on all beachgoers to take their rubbish away from the beaches, using the bins provided along the coast or take it home, so as to help preserve the natural environment of the sea and keep the beaches clean.
