The 18.4 million euro grant has now been extended to 22.9 million, meaning a total of 2,078 workers will have been involved in the 106 schemes across the area, including Torrevieja and Orihuela. In total, over the last 3 years, the scheme has received 40 million euro in investment.

The workshops are aimed at unemployed people over 25 years and gives priority to groups such as women, particularly victims of domestic violence, persons with disabilities, those  at risk of social exclusion, older than 55 years of age, people with low qualifications and the long-term unemployed.
