Officers from the Guardia Civil traffic department were forced to launch a search to find and identify the driver of a car which had crashed off the N-332 main road in the La Marina area of the southern Alicante province.
The vehicle was spotted around 20 metres off the road with the scene showing indications that the vehicle had left the road at speed, crashed through a protective fence, and come to a stop in shrubbery, where is was abandoned.
The search was launched to ensure the driver was okay and to then answer questions about the incident which resulted in the vehicle being left where it was found and the subsequent recovery operation.
