A motorcyclist was killed on Friday night in Torrevieja when the bike apparently crossed onto a junction protected by a Give Way sign and was in collision with a vehicle already travelling on the major road. In the early hours of Saturday morning a car left the CV-916 road in the La Aparecido area of Orihuela, resulting in one fatality at the scene. A motorcyclist was killed on Saturday following a collision with a car. This incident took place on the AP-7, Alicante to Cartagena motorway, as it passes through the town of Almoradí. The motorcyclist was killed on the spot with the car suffering significant impact damage to the front. As a result of the impact, the motorbike lay 100 metres from the scene. Two cars collided at a junction in the centre of Torrevieja on Saturday, with them both ending up on the pavement, one of the vehicles crashing into the front of a restaurant, although the premises were closed for vacations. Witnesses state that one of the vehicles failed to respect the Stop sign protecting the junction, but the driver of that car fled the scene.
