New Alicante Airport Parking Facility Opens on Tuesday

The new short-stay, pick-up and drop-off area at Alicante-Elche airport will be opened on Tuesday.

The area, which is immediately outside the departure complex and is protected by barriers, offers up to 15 minutes parking for free and replaces the previous open drop-off area which was limited to 5 minutes, although many drivers waited around for longer.

However, drivers need to be aware that should you stay longer than 15 minutes in the new zone, you will be charged a fee which is actually higher than if you were to use the traditional airport car park.

There is also no other alternative available for dropping off and picking up, thus providing even more control and monitoring of vehicle movements around the terminal building.
