New Guns for Torrevieja Local Police

No doubt hoping they will never have to use them, the local police of Torrevieja will soon be receiving 40 new pistols, as announced by the procurement department of the town hall.

The new weapons will replace some of the older models in the armoury, which may pose a risk if used on account of their age.

The new weapons are capable of carrying more bullets than the old ones and have added security features which prevent misuse by those not trained in their procedures.

The move is also seen as the latest commitment given to the police by the new government after years of complaints of neglect previously.
