Torrevieja Taxi Improvements
The councillor for transport in Torrevieja, Javier Manzanares, has announced that the town hall will be making improvements to various taxi ranks throughout the city and surrounds, having met with the two main taxi associations and agreed to their requests.
As well as improving and moving some of the existing taxi ranks, there will be better sign posting and vehicles parked in taxi ranks illegally will be removed by a tow truck and the drivers fined.
Meanwhile, in Orihuela, the main road which runs under the railway line at the Bigastro end of the city will be open to traffic once again from Friday. This main arterial route has been closed for some time whilst work on the new high speed rail line was being carried out above.
