Further Fatality on the N-332

A man believed to be in his 40´s was killed on the N-332 in the Orihuela municipality on Sunday night.

The incident occurred in the area close to the Carrefour supermarket and go-karts track close to Cala Mosca, when the victim was struck by a vehicle on the road.

There are no official pedestrian crossings or bridges in the area, on account of a lengthy battle between the town hall and developer who wants to build properties on land which was illegally sold to the builder.

The victim, who was not carrying any identity documents, died at the scene.

This fatality is added to the tragedy of the weekend when two pedestrians were hit on the same road in Torrevieja.
