Drugs Seized in San Miguel
Officers from the National Police have seized 105 kilos of marijuana buds, with a street value of more than half a million euro, in the town of San Miguel de Salinas.
A 39 year old British national has been arrested in connection with the case, after the police stopped a van near to the AP7 toll road. The police became suspicious after the driver of the vehicle displayed signs of “high anxiety” and proceeded to inspect the vehicle contents, discovering items of furniture, one of which had the drugs concealed in a hollowed out area.
It is believed that the drugs were destined for distribution in the United Kingdom.
