Summer Work Boost
Unemployment in the Vega Baja area is down once again in July, thanks to the summer season, with an additional 394 people finding work overall, with the registered jobless figure now standing at 31,818.
The tourist rich areas have seen the biggest decline, with Torrevieja leading the way with 377 people finding work, followed by Pilar de la Horadada where 81 jobs were found and Guardamar with 67.
However, it´s not all good news as unemployment increased in Cox, where another 40 people joined the unemployment register, Bigastro saw 35 job losses and Callosa de Segura saw 25 more people now looking for work.
