Runaway Bus Goes on Shopping Trip

A runaway bus crashed into the doorway of a department store on Monday, though miraculously nobody was injured in the bizarre crash.

The bus had stopped at the nearby terminal at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and passengers and driver disembarked. Without warning, the bus apparently decided to continue on its own shopping trip and left the bus station in reverse heading towards the entrance of the El Corte Inglés store.

The bus was said to be in good mechanical order and all paper work was in place and correct, but an investigation has been launched to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The only damage was to the back of the bus and some bicycles that were parked at the front of the store.
