A total of 27 passengers were injured on Monday when a train failed to stop at a station in Bilbao, colliding with the buffers.

The morning train was carrying 250 commuters when it crashed into the hydraulic emergency stopping device at the end of the railway line.

Many of the passengers were standing in preparation for disembarking. A total of 7 of those who were injured were taken to hospital, the remaining 20 were treated at the scene.
