The government spokesperson for Torrevieja town hall, Fanny Serrano, has visited the regional government in Valencia this week to confirm if action taken against bars, clubs and their own municipal buildings which fall short of legal licensing requirements are correct.
The Director General for emergencies and emergency response, Josep Maria Àngel, has advocated strict compliance with the law relating to activities and the closing down of venues when public safety comes into question, thus supporting the action taken by Torrevieja.
The Virgen del Carmen centre will be the first municipal building set to be given the all clear, once the appropriate safety tests had been carried out, to which Serrano promised to publish a full and detailed report in the interest of transparency.
