A car transporter jack-knifed across both lanes of the northbound carriageway of the AP-7 in the Los Balcones/Los Altos area of Torrevieja last Sunday afternoon. No other vehicles were involved and the driver was not seriously injured. Motorists were diverted at the La Zenia toll booth onto the N-332. Further north in the Elche area, there was also an incident on the southbound carriageway of the AP-7 on the Sunday afternoon, when a refrigerated lorry carrying fruit rolled over onto its side, causing delays to motorists. The lorry driver walked away with no serious injuries.

They were travelling on the Alicante-bound carriageway of the motorway and were taken to Torrevieja Hospital for treatment. The accident happened at around 10.30am, with a crane being brought in to remove the vehicle some two hours later.
