Police Arrest Driver After Orihuela Pedestrian Collision

Local police in Orihuela arrested a 40 year old van driver after his vehicle ploughed into two women on a pedestrian crossing on Avenida Teodmiro on Friday.

The incident occurred at 09:30 when the women were crossing the road and the van failed to stop in time, hitting the two women.

An emergency ambulance attended and treated both of the victims, one for a head injury. They were taken to hospital whilst the police questioned the driver, only to find that he had no licence.
