Elche Warmest Place in Spain

Elche basked in the hottest temperatures in the whole of Spain on Saturday, with temperatures reaching 24.1 degrees in the town of Perleta.

Thermometers across the entire eastern side of the peninsula were registering between 23 and 24 degrees at the peak of the day, although Sunday is likely to be considerably cooler than Saturday with the residents of Perleta having to dig out their jumpers once again for an estimated high of just 18.
