On Friday of last week, members of N332 gace a presentation at the first C.L.A.R.O. Friday Forum on the Orihuela Costa.
The objective of the forum is to present local groups and associations to the residents so that they are aware of the work that they do in helping the community and also this gives the residents the opportunity to collaborate with these causes.
More than 150 people attended this first event in the Asturias Restaurant, which, according to C.L.A.R.O. President Paul Piccio, is intended to bring the residents and business owners of Orihuela together to share in the benefits of knowledge from the presentations by guest speakers which are of interest and use to all residents and visitors alike.
The presentation lasted just over an hour with Francisco Morales, a serving officer from the Guardia Civil traffic department, and former driving instructor Mark Nolan, talking about many of the most common questions that occur on the roads, and detailing some of the most common problems that the Guardia Civil come across on a daily basis, with the intention of educating and advising drivers of the correct procedures.
Recent changes to traffic laws were also covered in detail and at the end of the presentation there was an open forum for discussion and for any other questions to be answered.
The Friday Forums will occur throughout the year with a variety of guest speakers and are open to both members and non-members of C.L.A.R.O. alike.
