Two officers from the Guardia Civil traffic department based in Córdoba have been praised for saving the life of an 18-month old baby who was unconscious and not breathing.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening on the A431 main road near to Villarrubia. The patrol was approached by a woman, clearly in distress, who asked for their help with the baby.
The officers treated the toddler at the roadside and managed to revive him before taking the baby, and his mother, to the Reina Sofía maternity hospital in their patrol car.
Although remaining in hospital and under observation, sources state that the baby is recovering well.
