Man Killed in Boat at Tabarca Island
A man, 71 years of age, was killed on Saturday in a collision between 2 boats in the waters off the coast of the island of Tabarca.
Reports stage that a sailboat with crewed by a man in his 60´s collided with a small fishing boat carrying two people, one of which was reported to be in a critical condition as a result of suffering heart problems, following the incident.
The Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil took the injured man to the Port of Santa Pola where he was transferred to a paramedic ambulance to be taken to the Hospital General Universitario de Elche, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Guardia Civil are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
