Irish Fugitive Arrested at Alicante-Elche Airport
Officers from the National Police have arrested an Irish fugitive wanted for questioning in relation to a number of offences including the robbery of 134,000 pounds from an armoured van in Dublin in 2010.
The detainee was wanted n a European Arrest Warrant for the crimes of robbery, three counts of illegal detention, six counts of illegal possession of weapons and a crime of belonging to a criminal organization.
The officers were aware of his presence in the area and found him in his car awaiting the arrival of another man at the airport. He now faces extradition and life in prison.
