A new replacement drainage system is being built along the Rambla de Villamartín on the Orihuela Costa to stop heavy rain causing problems in an area adjoining the Villacosta, Canal and Las Filipinas urbanisations. The work is scheduled over six weeks and costing 130 thousand euros, with the first phase seeing PVC piping laid down on Calles Manuel de Falla and Cañón Hills. The second phase will see work carried out inside the Rambla itself.
