A man aged in his forties has been arrested by the National Police for allegedly strangling his 89-year-old aunt, with the body lying at their home on Alicante’s Calle Pintor Aparicio for a week.
The nephew turned himself into the National Police in Alicante on Monday, with neighbours saying that he had lived with his aunt for three years after returning to Spain from Norway, where he had split up with his wife. They claimed that he was jobless and lived off his aunt, as well having “a drinking problem and no friends”.
