Murcia-based singer and UK X Factor star, Ruth Lorenzo, has set a new world record as she spent a day performing in eight different venues across Spain in a record title attempt to raise money for breast cancer research, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Ruth, who came fifth in the 2008 series of The X Factor and represented Spain a couple of years ago in the Eurovision Song Contest, successfully set a new record for the “Most Live Concerts in 12 hours in multiple towns” by putting on shows in Murcia, Hellín, Albacete, Villarrobledo, Manzanares, Consuegra, Toledo and Madrid.
Guinness World Records adjudicator Lucia Sinigagliesi attended all of the concerts to validate the record challenge, and afterwards Ruth said that the attempt was tiring but so much fun.
