A special operation will be in place throughout the weekend with traffic officers monitoring the road network, supported by workers on the ground and helicopters in the air.

The busiest times are expected to be on Friday between 16:00 and 21:00, Saturday from 08:00 to 14:00, and on Tuesday from 16:00 to 21:00.

Because of the national holiday on Tuesday (Todos los Santos), many people have taken Monday off in order to have an extended weekend. Monday of course is Halloween.

Coastal and leisure areas are expected to see the most traffic, including shopping centres. The clocks go back on Saturday night, changing the lighting dynamics of the road. On Monday evening special care should be taken to look out for children celebrating Halloween (they may be dressed as ghosts (or worse)), and on Tuesday cemeteries will be busy as families go to celebrate the special day with loved ones departed from this world. Some local towns and cities have provided bus services on Tuesday morning.

Remember, throughout the weekend, allow extra time for your journey, keep calm, maintain a proper and safe distance, watch your speed, avoid distractions and don´t consume alcohol or drugs.
