The National Police have launched an investigation after a 51-year-old British man was found dead outside Malaga airport on the Costa del Sol. The man, said to be Steven Allford, was discovered bound to a bench with cable ties on Friday morning with his trousers pulled down to his ankles. Reports said that the area where the body was found is frequented by vagrants.
An airport worker is said to have alerted police after he found the body in an area between the terminal building and the airport’s train station. An autopsy had revealed the Mr. Allford had died after he inhaled his own vomit after consuming large quantities of alcohol.
Investigators said the man’s body showed no sign of inflicted injuries, but suggested his tied posture may have contributed to his death. They said the fact his trousers had been lowered suggested he may have been sexually assaulted.
