Head-On Crash

A collision between two cars on the CV-945 road in Los Montesinos close to the CV-90 roundabout left three people injured, one of them seriously, last Saturday lunchtime. Emergency teams from Almoradi and Torrevieja rescued three adults who were trapped in their vehicles, with a child escaping unhurt.

The accident happened at around 1.15 pm, with a 49-year-old woman travelling with her son in one car, and an elderly couple aged 68 and 72 in the other vehicle. Authorities did not disclose their names or nationalities.

A 72-year-old woman suffered serious leg injuries, whilst her 68-year-old husband minor bruising. In the other vehicle, the boy walked out of the vehicle unharmed but his mother needed treatment on site, as well needing to be freed from the car.
