Booming foreign tourist numbers have contributed to Costa Blanca hotel occupancy numbers shooting up by 17 percent last month compared to a year earlier. The figures produced by the local hotel association, Hosbec, show October occupancy at over 76 percent, compared to under 60 percent in the same month in 2015. The figures do not include Benidorm, which if factored in, would show October occupancy at 87 percent. International visitors are said to have contributed to around a half of last month’s figures.
