A product recall notice has been issued against the Renault Megane XFB models manufactured before February 2016, because of a problem with the brakes.
The company has discovered that friction from the rim or tyres on the front wheels can result in rubbing the brake pipes and a subsequent leak, potentially resulting in a loss of braking performance.
Renault Spain has stated that it is currently contacting owners of the vehicles to invite them to the workshop to have the problem resolved with reinforcements on the pipes.
If you have one of these vehicles you can contact your local Renault maintenance department for advice.
