A 25-year-old British man facing three life sentences for crimes of robberies with violence and intimidation is believed to be hiding out in Spain, according to the National Police.
Gareth Bryan Edwards, 25, from Aylesbury, is wanted by the British authorities under a European arrest warrant, and has been included on a list of Spain’s top ten most wanted criminals, which also includes international drug dealers and people with connections to the Italian mafia.
A National Police spokesman described Edwards as “a very dangerous person, possibly armed and in possession of drugs”. The police say anyone with information can email fugitivos@policia.es or phone (0034) 915 824 136.
Other names on Spain’s most wanted include that of a woman, 32-year-old Hayet Boughanmi Ep Abbas, also known as Hayet Kaubisch, from Tunisia – who, along with a Moroccan male friend, stabbed a German man 53 times leaving him for dead. Ishak Merenvouri, 50, from Algeria but with Finnish nationality, is sought for a sexual assault on a five-year-old child in Helsinki, and may be living in the Canary Islands or the Valencian region.
