The Murcia regional government is to sue the previous operator of the still-unopend Corvera airport for what has been described as “damages to the interests of the region”. No sum has been mentioned in the forthcoming lawsuit against Aeromur, which was announced by the Murcia president, Pedro Antonio Sánchez López last week.
Sánchez said that he had a duty to the citizens of Murcia to make the move against Aeromur, after they failed to get the facility at Corvera up and running when it was ready to accept flights four years ago, therefore doing damage to the local economy.
Sánchez had no further news to declare over the bidding process for the tender to replace Aeromur, which he said a few weeks ago would be advertised before Christmas.
