Forget a Big Mac or a Whopper, Catral trumped them all on Sunday with a gigantic meatball weighing at around 200 kilos created by the  El Rabanico gastronomic association. With ingredients set to get vegans and vegetarians wincing, the creation featured pork and chicken mixed with white sausage, and liberal seasonings of garlic, salt, bread, and parsley.

It took a couple of hours to cook at Catral’s Plaza de España, and despite the rain, there were plenty of people waiting to sample the finished product at just one euro fifty cents per portion.
