San Javier Mayor, José Miguel Luengo, has told real-estate agents and developers at a conference in Santiago de la Ribera that the San Javier area is perfect for tourist expansion, with the new ‘General Plan’ for the municipality set to be approved next year.

The Mayor, speaking at the Tourism Residential Conference organised for 150 Murcia-based agents from Spanish and international companies, said that the opportunities for increased investment and job creation was huge, with the sale of properties to non-Spaniards up by 35 percent over the first six months of the year, compared to the same period in 2016.
