RBL volunteers  were found at all kinds of locations collecting, including Alicante-Elche airport, local markets, and dozens of other venues. The final district total is yet to be declared as money is still coming in, but the local totals and counts have been concluded.

Forty events and two charity days helped take the Orihuela Costa branch total (pictured) to over 40,000 euro, which was an increase on the amount accumulated in 2015.

Torrevieja RBL members collected just over 22,000 euro, with nearly three thousand euro being collected at the city’s Iceland store, and a two-thousand-euro donation from the Crescendo International Choir.

The Gran Alacant/La Marina branch brought in over 10,000 euro, which like the Orihuela Costa and Torrevieja branches, was up on last year’s total, with the Iceland shop in La Marina being a key focus for donations.
