Orihuela council hosted a meeting of representatives of 27 councils which included Torrevieja, Pilar de la Horadada, Rojales, Almoradí, Guardamar, Catral, Dolores, Los Montesinos, and Rafal, with Orihuela’s tourism councillor, Sofía Álvarez, saying that they have the backing of the Valencian Tourist Board and the Alicante Provincial Council to promote what the inland areas of the Vega Baja have to offer.
