One point six million euros is to be handed out by the Valencian Government to repair January’s storm damage that hit beaches across Alicante Province.
Francesc Colomer of Valencia’s Tourist Authority says that the money will be distributed as soon as possible to help repair infrastructures like paths, footbridges, water collection systems, waste bins, and play areas and equipment.
An inventory has been carried out by regional technicians in Elche, Santa Pola, Guardamar, Torrevieja, Orihuela and Pilar de la Horadada, with Colomer saying that it’s important that beaches are ready to welcome tourists from the Easter period.
