Orihuela Costa-based neighbourhood groups have called for a demonstration at Playa Flamenca promenade this Sunday morning against plans for a controversial 1,500 home development at Cala Mosca, which they claim would destroy an area of key environmental importance.
The protest, which is scheduled to start at 11.30am next to the Correos office, follows Tuesday’s appearance of local politicians Marta Guillén (Cambiemos Orihuela) and Bob Houliston (CLARO) at a European Parliament Petitions committee meeting in Brussels, where they appealed for action to be taken over Cala Mosca.
