Several parts of Formentera de Segura should have an improved drinking water supply thanks to work carried out by the Hidraqua water company.
The 82,000-euro project for the Vega Baja town was funded by the local council and Alicante
Provincial Council. New pipes and other work was done in the areas of Calles Juan XXIII, San Roque and La Purísima.
Formentera mayor, Francisco Cano, along with council and Hidraqua officials checked up on the upgrades on Wednesday, with the project having started last autumn.
