Listen to this articleThe fire happened last Friday early evening on the San Fernando industrial estate off the N-340 road at the Novvo factory, which makes bathroom and shower furniture and accessories, with many of the materials being flammable.
The factory employs around 80 people, and thick smoke could be seen for a number of kilometres in the Cox and Callosa areas. The fire was stopped from spreading to other units, with firefighters managing to prevent the blaze from hitting the major production area of the Novvo complex.
